Welcome to Pampered Cheeks!

I started Pampered Cheeks in 2006. For a few years, I designed and produced custom cloth diapers from my own patterns and sold them on Hyena Cart. After some time, I also developed a commercial pattern and sold it from my own website. As I added to my own family, however, my time devoted to developing my business declined. Regulations regarding products made for children were both heavy and confusing. I didn't want to get in trouble, but navigating CPSIA and labeling requirements was difficult--not impossible, but difficult, especially given how little time I had to work on the business anyway. Eventually I stopped manufacturing diapers and only sold patterns. And at some point even that became too much. I felt I wasn't giving Pampered Cheeks the attention it deserved. So I shut the doors, canceled my website hosting, and, in what was a mistake, gave up my domain. I was deeply saddened a few months later to find that it had been snatched up by someone else and appears to be a "fake" website selling diapers. It is confusing at best. I wish I had invested $10/year to keep the domain. ::sigh:: Lesson learned.

Another hard lesson came as I realized that even though they are few, some people are still searching for my patterns. While I am no longer in business and I'm still not going to develop the patterns, I do want to make them available for the public to use. That's what this blog is for.
